On behalf of 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. I would like to thank you for your generous support of our 6th Annual College Scholarship Fair which was held on November 1st at the University of Illinois at Chicago campus.
Some of the key highlights of the event which continues to make the dreams of achieving a college education a real possibility for aspiring African American and other minority students included:
* 5000+ students, parents and other stakeholders in attendance
* Over 150 colleges and universities on hand
* Over $5 Million in scholarships awarded ‘on the spot’. Total awards will grow as other applications complete the review process.
* 500 admissions or recommendations for admission done between the Friday reception and Saturday event
* Expanded workshop offerings with record attendance
