Youth Violence and the Police (100 BMC Southside)

The Chicago Public School death toll stands at 27 for the 2008/2009 school year.
Most of the killings have taken place on neighborhood streets and not during school hours. But no matter where the killings take place our youth are under assault and young black males, in particular, are prime targets. Chicago Police Officer and 100BMC member, Roderique McClain, spoke to the mentees about interacting with the police, how to avoid being a usual "suspect", his experiences in law enforcement, youth violence and about careers with the Chicago Police Department.
