Today we continued our segment on Strategic Life Plan Development. Addressed, was feedback received by students assigned to ask three (3) individuals (E.g., Parents, Siblings, Relatives, Teachers, Friends) their assessment of the student, using the SWOT analysis. The question they were instructed to ask: "I'm interested in going to College; how would you describe my Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats?". Through feedback submissions and classroom discussion, students were made to realize that within and around them reside the power, motivation, and resources to succeed and achieve their goals. The question begs what will cause these individuals, as high school junior students, to embrace and position these assets as a priority?
