Mentoring ends with Go-Karting

Mentoring ended at Grand Prix indoor go-karting (www.mpgrandprix.com). Go-karting at Nationals in Miami last summer was fun, so this seemed like a good event. However, the DOT crash helmets and fire resistant "Power Ranger" suits should have been a warning. These karts are much faster, and the indoor track has tighter turns. Results: we crashed in to the walls, crashed into the barriers, and crashed into each other. The Staff strongly encouraged us to repeat the safety training session (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZod5FTzF4A), and the driving did improve. As promised the mentors crushed spirits and ate souls on the racetrack posting the fastest times. Play Station and X-Box skills do not compare to years of driving to work, and you are late for a conference meeting.
