100 BMC Mentoring - Testimonies/Debate/Trayvon Discussion, 3/24, 3/31

Congratulations to the winners from the debating session last Saturday the 24th!  Also, we'd like to the thank the students, mentees, and parents that give video testimonies for the upcoming Gala celebration.

On Saturday the 31st, most of the session dealt with the Trayvon Martin case.  Many of the kids identified with Trayvon and felt that the incident was racially motivated.  The discussion ended on what choices Trayvon had that he may have considered.  One of which is to have called 911 first.

Finally, Will McNeill led an art exercise on how different people hear different things from the same instructions and how important it is to ask questions. The kids' art works were illustrations of their interpretations of the instructions.

Great sessions!
