It's been a VERY busy two weeks for our mentees over the last two weeks. We continue to press on with implementation of our Dollars and $ense Financial Literacy program, Sponsored by State Farm. Our team of Tim Turner, Joel Foster, David Ireland and John Anderson have and will continue to guide the students through the curriculum, as well as, prepare students for the competition at the 100 Black Men of America, National Conference in June in Atlanta. Students from across the country will be competing for $1,000 scholarships.
On Saturday April 5th, the West Side and South Side programs, in a joint session, were treated to "EtiKid" class, taught by the dynamic Ms. Airies Davis. Our young men were given tips on fine dining, escorting young ladies and other matters of etiquette.
Finally our MCs at next week's gala, diligently prepared for giving presentations introducing our honorees. We're are very much looking forward to ALL of our mentees doing us proud next week!
